Turkey undertook eight months and $120 million rebuilding an extensive military airport runway for Donald Trump's new Boeing 747 Air Force One. The upgrade further included new pavement, lighting fixtures and navigation aids that improve safety. The jet was donated by Qatar, making the aircraft a diplomatic gift. It lacks advanced defensive countermeasures, drawing criticism from defence analysts, who said the omission leaves the aircraft vulnerable clearly.
At the same time, a Queensland hotel regional is putting an abandoned Boeing 747, huge and previously at Valencia Airport formerly, up for auction. The Queensland auction lists a starting bid of A$1 million initial. The plane is large and heavy as usual, and the sale may attract interest possibly from collectors and enthusiasts.
