The 2026 World Club Challenge will take place on Thursday, 19th February, featuring Hull KR against Brisbane Broncos at Hull FC’s MKM Stadium. This will be the first time Hull hosts a World Club Challenge, with both teams competing for the title of the world’s best Rugby League club after their success in the Super League and NRL respectively.
To accommodate more fans, the match will be held at the MKM Stadium, which has a 25,000 capacity, instead of Hull KR’s usual Craven Park that holds just over 11,000 spectators.
After winning the Super League Trophy at Old Trafford, Hull KR aims to add an international trophy following their historic 2025 season. This match also marks a major milestone as Hull KR faces Australian opposition for the first time in 40 years.
“With offers from around the World to host the game, we are delighted to bring the Betfred World Club Challenge home to Hull, allowing supporters, not just from the City but the whole region and beyond, the opportunity to see the world’s two best Rugby League sides go head-to-head.”
“With Round One of our title defence in the Super League, and a trip to Las Vegas for the ‘Battle of Yorkshire’ a week after the Betfred World Club Challenge, February is set to be the most exciting month in the club’s illustrious history as we take the Robins to the global stage.”
The 2026 World Club Challenge at Hull's MKM Stadium promises a landmark event, showcasing top-tier Rugby League action and marking a historic moment for Hull KR’s global journey.
