The affected products are 26-ounce jars of tomato sauce with a "Use By 09/26" date. They were sold from September 22 to October 28, 2025.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), improperly processed acidified or low-acid canned foods can develop Clostridium botulinum toxin, which causes botulism. Though rare, botulism affects the nervous system and has a fatality rate of 5–10%.
