Defense Attorney Objects to Delay in Amber Spradlin Trial
The attorney for the man accused of killing Amber Spradlin is objecting to a delay in the upcoming trial.
Amber Spradlin's body was found on June 18, 2023, at the Arkansas Creek home of Prestonsburg dentist Michael McKinney, who is charged with her murder.
Both McKinney and family friend Josh Mullins also face charges for allegedly trying to cover up the crime.
Commonwealth's Attorney Brent Turner had asked to postpone the December 1 trial, citing the need for more time to finish DNA testing at the state crime lab.
Prosecutors have called their case strong enough to justify a $5 million bond and that it's now time to let a jury decide.
A hearing is set for Thursday, and Mountain Top News will be in court, livestreaming the proceedings.
