Qantas is one of six global companies that had their data released by hackers from Scattered LAPSUS$ Hunters after a ransom threat was made.
- Up to 5.7 million Qantas customers had their data compromised in an offshore call centre using Salesforce software.
- Leaked details include full names, email addresses, Frequent Flyer details, business and home addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers, gender, and meal preferences.
The data could potentially be used for identity theft attacks as it gives hackers more points of verification.
