Students at Kensington Elementary School in Glens Falls were disappointed when pumpkins were stolen from their patch.
The school's principal, Marissa Macy, announced the news at an assembly, stating that
“Somebody made a really bad choice. They weren’t being respectful of school property. They weren’t being respectful of other people’s hard work and care,”
Rather than getting angry, Macy encouraged students to turn their disappointment into acts of kindness and document them using paper pumpkins, which now decorate the school entrance.
A family was caught on camera stealing the pumpkins from the patch, which was started by the environmental club last spring.
