Amid the Nexperia dispute, which threatens global supply chains, Chinese state-owned firms have launched a car-chip testing platform to bolster the localization process in high-end car chips.
The platform was set up with over 80 sets of testing equipment and 13 laboratories specializing in functions such as automotive-grade environmental and reliability testing, information security, and failure analysis.
The facility would “fully initiate the localisation process of high-end car chips”
This move is expected to support the development of local high-end car chips, according to a statement by Shenzhen municipal authorities.
