Victorian Access Regime
VicGrid is introducing a new regime for accessing the Victorian transmission network, known as the Victorian Access Regime (VAR), which will replace the current "open" access regime.
VicGrid is responsible for coordinating the planning and development of Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and will soon oversee the planning of the Victorian transmission network, following the transfer of declared network functions from the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO).
