New figures show that multiple homicides were recorded by police in Gwent last year, despite a record low across England and Wales.
The charity Victim Support stated that the overall decline in homicides is a
"glimmer of hope"for an area of crime that leaves families with long-lasting trauma and grief.
In contrast, the number of homicides across England and Wales decreased by 6%, with 518 offences last year, the lowest figure since 2002-03.
