AMC's attempt to turn Anne Rice's works into a television universe started strong with "Interview With the Vampire", a smart, sensual, and funny show that successfully balances preserving and updating its source material.
"Interview With the Vampire" is one of the best shows on air.
In contrast, the sophomore effort "Mayfair Witches" has been a letdown, lacking the passion and eccentricity of "Interview With the Vampire".
