June Lockhart, best known for her roles in Lassie and Lost in Space, has died at the age of 100 due to natural causes at her home in Santa Monica.
A family spokesperson, Lyle Gregory, confirmed her death, stating it occurred on Thursday. He described her as being "very happy up until the very end", with a daily routine that included reading The New York Times and LA Times.

Lockhart played the character of Ruth Martin in Lassie and was known for her motherly figure roles. Despite her on-screen persona, she claimed to be nothing like the characters she portrayed in real life.
