From Guli Lala to Guli Dawood: SKUAST-K’s Chrysanthemum Festival
Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) has brought innovation to the Valley’s cultural and tourism landscape through a Chrysanthemum Show.
The event, under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai, turned the historic Lal Chowk into a vibrant plaza. The Division of Floriculture and Landscaping at SKUAST-K has worked to introduce and popularize Chrysanthemums as the “Colors of Autumn”.
This initiative aims to bridge the tourism gap that traditionally follows the spring tulip season, redefining autumn tourism.
The Chrysanthemum Show has brought life to the Valley’s cultural and tourism landscape.
