Truck Driver Charged in Fatal California Crash
A truck driver, identified as 21-year-old Jashanpreet Singh, was charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of a drug causing injury.
The charges stem from a chain-reaction crash on Interstate 10 in Ontario, California, that killed three people. Authorities allege that Singh was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.
Singh is in the United States illegally, and an immigration detainer has been placed on him, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
