Luzerne County Election Board’s Post-Election Adjudication to Start Sooner

The Luzerne County Election Board’s post-election adjudication will commence earlier than in previous years.

According to County Election Director Emily Cook, adjudication will begin on Thursday, November 6, at 9 a.m. on the third floor (courtroom A) of the Penn Place Building.

Adjudication determines the validity of flagged mail and provisional ballots and tallies write-in votes.

Cook stated that she has altered procedures to prioritize adjudication preparation, enabling an earlier start.

The adjudication process is open to the public, and additional sessions will be scheduled as necessary.
