For years, many Chiefs fans had to choose between attending church and getting to Arrowhead Stadium on game day. However, in 2014, Chiefs owner Clark Hunt launched the Faith and Family Chapel, located next to the southern corner of the stadium.
The Chapel hosts a non-denominational worship service every Sunday morning when the Chiefs have a home game scheduled at noon. According to Cedric Hardimon, pastor at Life.Church East Kansas City,
“What started as a simple pregame service has grown into something much bigger”.
The service has become a meaningful part of the game day tradition for many fans, thanks to dedicated volunteers who aim to create an authentic church experience.
