Hundreds of people attended the LIC Wellness Fest on Saturday, Oct. 11, despite wet conditions, to celebrate and promote healthy lifestyles.
The festival, hosted by Hurricane Fitness and Trends Dispensary, featured a "high-impact wellness block party" with fitness classes, wellness and nutrition workshops, and product demos.
Rodney Carter, co-founder of Hurricane Fitness and the LIC Wellness Fest, described the event as a "great day" for the local community to enjoy fitness activations and learn about health and fitness-based businesses.
The event was supported by local sports, wellness, and active lifestyle businesses in Long Island City, allowing the community to sample various health and wellness products and services.
