The Cox’s Store Volunteer Fire Department is calling on the community for support during its yearly fundraiser.
The 27th annual Fish Fry will be held this weekend at the department, featuring a day of food and family activities for a good cause.
Fire officials have a $50,000 per year budget, and the fundraiser directly helps them address the rising cost of fuel, maintenance, and equipment.
This is our biggest money maker, this is what pushes us through the year, this is what allows us to roll out the door to all the grass fires, structure fires, any of the EMS calls we’ve been on, all the car wrecks.
The event will run from 11 a.m. and is crucial in helping the department serve the community, according to Fire Chief Collin Langford.
The fundraiser allows the community to help the department in their mission to serve the people.
