Despite a shaky start, Sunderland found their footing and turned the score around, ending the first quarter 13-5.
Sheffield Hallam made a quick start to the second quarter, leveling the game at 14-all, but ultimately lost to Sunderland's strong teamwork and display of passing and movement.
