A dispute in Farnham has been attributed to a lack of consultation over a licensing application, serving as a warning as the Government considers removing the statutory requirement for alcohol licensing notices to be advertised in local print papers.
The Luxe, a Mediterranean restaurant and bar in Lion and Lamb Yard, has been at the center of a long-running row between neighbors and management due to complaints of live music, noise, and late-night disturbance since its opening in 2023.
“We were never consulted by any council about the restaurant coming next door,” said a resident who has lived nearby for over a decade, highlighting the issue originated from lack of awareness of the venue’s licensing plans.
