Homelessness can have severe effects on mental health, according to Levinia Brown, who shares her personal experience.
Levinia Brown from Rankin Inlet highlights the issues of homelessness and overcrowding, which have been detrimental to many Nunavummiut.
"The arguments can become quite intense in this type of situation," said Brown.
Brown's younger son was living in a boat and has been on the waiting list for housing for 15 years. She and her husband Ron took him in, along with his son, who is also homeless.
Simple tasks, like deciding who will cook, can turn into intense arguments when living in overcrowded conditions, as Brown experienced.
