Rescue Deal Saves Over 400 Jobs at Roberts Bakery
A pre-pack deal with Boparan Private Office has secured 433 jobs at Roberts Bakery.
The investment, made for an undisclosed fee, created a new company, Roberts Bakery 1887 Ltd, a reference to the year the Cheshire-based business was founded.
The deal comes after Frank Roberts & Son Ltd, a fourth-generation family business, filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators just over a week prior.
The private investment firm is owned by entrepreneur Ranjit Singh Boparan.
