Full-time Support Staff Strike Ends with Deal
Ontario colleges and full-time support staff have reached a tentative agreement, ending a five-week strike that impacted all 24 colleges across the province.
The agreement was reached after a private mediation session led by Mediator William Kaplan, resolving the bargaining impasse between the College Employer Council (CEC) and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU).
- The deal affects approximately 10,000 striking employees who provide essential support to college operations and student success.
- Picketing at Ontario colleges will end immediately as part of the agreement with OPSEU.
