Demolition of Former Broadway Theater to Begin Soon
The Albert Lea City Council has voted 5-0 to award a contract for the demolition of the former Broadway Theater building on South Broadway.
The contract, valued at approximately $374,000, was awarded to Dulas Excavating Inc. of Wells and includes the demolition of 338 S. Broadway, its foundation, and the removal and disposal of adjacent foundation walls at 324 and 332 S. Broadway.
Demolition work is expected to begin as early as November 1.
