Bemidji Runners Perform Well at Home Meet
At the Bemidji Invitational high school cross country meet, sophomores Chloe Derby and Blake Dewitt led the Bemidji team to second-place finishes.
Chloe Derby finished the 5-kilometer course in 19 minutes, 31.4 seconds, taking second place behind Sophia Johnson of Moorhead.
I love running against Sophia, Derby said, reflecting on her rivalry with Johnson.

Derby is looking forward to the Section 8-3A meet, aiming for a second straight trip to state.
