Ruth Ware's 2016 thriller, The Woman in Cabin 10, has been adapted into a 2025 Netflix movie. The film stars Keira Knightley as Lo Blacklock, a journalist invited on a luxury yacht trip with a wealthy couple, Richard Bullmer (Guy Pearce) and Anne Lyngstad (Lisa Loven Kongsli).
The story begins with Lo witnessing a horrific event: a person falling over the side of the yacht and blood on the divider between her balcony and cabin 10. However, when she reports this to the crew and passengers, no one believes her, as cabin 10 was supposedly empty and no passengers are missing.
While the book and movie share this initial plot, significant differences emerge, including Lo's workplace and the entire ending. Author's note: Differences abound in this thriller adaptation.
No one believes her, because cabin 10 was empty and no known passengers are missing.
