Panthers Suffer First Loss of the Season
The Florida Panthers experienced their first defeat of the season, losing 5-2 to the Flyers. This loss came after the Panthers started the season 3-0, one of three teams to do so in the past 25 years after winning the Stanley Cup the previous season.
The Panthers found themselves down by two goals for the first time this season but attempted a rally. Sam Reinhart scored a shorthanded goal with 38 seconds left in the second period, and Sam Bennett tied the game with a power play goal at 10:15 of the third period.
