FromSoftware has officially announced the first major DLC for Elden Ring: Nightreign, titled The Forsaken Hollows. The expansion will launch on , adding new content, characters, and gameplay classes.
The upcoming DLC introduces two new playable classes, each with unique backgrounds and abilities:
“An academic who walks the Lands Between. Boasting impressive arcane levels, he gains incredible advantages through battlefield observation.”
“An abbess who was mandated to slay the Nightlord. Boasting impressive strength and faith, she sends enemies to the afterlife with ruthless efficiency.”
In addition to the new classes, the expansion will feature two new bosses and other yet-to-be-revealed elements that expand the game’s world.
Players who pre-order The Forsaken Hollows will receive exclusive digital items, including the Elden Ring: Nightreign artbook and a mini soundtrack before the DLC’s official release.
Elden Ring: Nightreign launched earlier this year. Despite a somewhat mixed reception, it achieved solid commercial performance.
According to SteamDB, the game reached a peak of 313,593 concurrent users on Steam just an hour after release—the studio’s second-highest record, following the original Elden Ring peak of 953,426 concurrent players. Publisher Bandai Namco reported over 2 million copies sold on the first day.
A new trailer showcasing the expansion’s environments and combat is available from FromSoftware, offering players a glimpse of the Forsaken Hollows’ haunting atmosphere.
