Jetstar Restarts Adelaide to Melbourne Avalon Route with $29 Flights

Jetstar is expanding its Adelaide network by resuming flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport, offering promotional fares starting at $29. The airline will restart this service on 26 March 2026, providing South Australian travelers with a more affordable and convenient connection to Victoria.

Flight Details and Service

The low-cost carrier plans to operate up to seven weekly return flights between Adelaide and Melbourne Avalon, adding approximately 109,000 low-fare seats annually. This route reconnects South Australia with Victoria’s Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula, and Geelong regions. The service will be operated using Jetstar’s Airbus A320 aircraft, returning after a pause since before the pandemic.

Promotional Offer

To mark the relaunch, Jetstar launched a limited-time sale with one-way fares beginning at $29, available from 11:30am (ACDT) today. These fares echo prices from the airline’s launch over twenty years ago and are expected to sell out quickly.

CEO Statement

“These new flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport provide South Australians with greater opportunities to take advantage of our low fares and are part of a significant increase in flights in and out of Adelaide this year,” said Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully. “It’s now easier and more affordable than ever to access Victoria’s popular Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula wine region, Geelong and Melbourne.”

Summary: Jetstar’s reintroduction of the Adelaide to Melbourne Avalon route with attractive $29 fares expands travel options and strengthens connectivity between South Australia and Victoria.
