The Queensland Police Service (QPS) has confirmed with deep sorrow the sudden passing of Ian Leavers APM, Queensland Cross-Border Commissioner, former President of the Queensland Police Union of Employees (QPUE), and long-serving QPS member.
Mr. Leavers was found deceased around 9:50 a.m. at a residence in Mount Ommaney after officers were called to the location. Authorities stated that his death is not considered suspicious, with investigations continuing.
