NBC Sports Strikes Multi-Year U.S. Rights Extension with Royal Ascot

NBC Sports Extends U.S. Rights Deal with Royal Ascot Through 2028

NBC Sports and Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire, England, home to the renowned Royal Meeting, have agreed to a multi-year extension that secures NBC Sports' exclusive United States broadcast rights to the event through 2028.

Since 2017, NBC Sports has presented Royal Ascot coverage across both traditional and digital platforms. The renewed deal ensures continued live broadcasts of more than twenty hours of races held over the event’s five days in mid-June, from Tuesday through Saturday.

All coverage will stream live on Peacock throughout the week, while NBC will air simulcast programming during Saturday’s final day.

Expanded Coverage Starting 2026

Beginning in 2026, NBC Sports plans to expand its coverage to include Royal Ascot races designated as part of the Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series “Win and You’re In” qualifiers. Broadcasts will also feature enhanced editorial focus on horses and connections targeting the Breeders’ Cup World Championships later in the year.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with Royal Ascot to showcase their incredible racing and pageantry each June, while connecting the event to the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, which is the focus of the sport as the season concludes each fall,” said Gary Quinn, VP of Partnerships & General Manager of Owned Properties at NBC Sports.
