The First Stand event will take place from March 16 to 22, 2026, in São Paulo, Brazil. Five teams from each region will compete for the opening international title of the season.

“Brazil has one of our most passionate player bases,” said Chris Greeley, director of LoL Esports. He expressed excitement to see São Paulo come alive for LoL once again, noting that the last international LoL event in Brazil was held in 2017.

Each match in this tournament will be played as a best-of-five series.

The MSI will return to South Korea in 2026, hosted in Daejeon, the country's fifth-largest city. This tournament will feature 11 teams from various regions.

Only one team will advance from the Play-in stage to the Bracket Stage, which will maintain its double-elimination format to ensure engaging matches.
