Super Typhoon Uwan (Fung-wong), the Philippines' 21st tropical cyclone of 2025, is advancing toward the country, causing heavy rain and potentially devastating winds.
Uwan is heading for landfall in Luzon, but given its massive diameter, the Visayas and Mindanao regions are also experiencing effects to varying extents.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued alerts for possible hazards such as floods, landslides, and storm surges.
“Be on alert for hazards, including floods, landslides, and storm surges,” warned PAGASA.
