Ken Jennings, the beloved “Jeopardy!” host and former University of Washington (UW) student, recently visited his alma mater’s region to promote his latest book of puzzles. Known for his sharp intellect and approachable personality, Jennings has remained deeply connected to the Pacific Northwest.
“Jeopardy!” continues to attract over 5 million viewers nightly, with Jennings playing a major role in its enduring popularity. Born in Edmonds, Washington, Jennings spent part of his childhood in South Korea and Singapore. Before appearing on the show over 20 years ago, he worked as a computer programmer. His record-breaking run included 74 consecutive wins and made him the highest-earning game show contestant in American history.
“His success and friendly demeanor drew a lot of media attention and increased viewership.”
After the passing of Alex Trebek in 2020, Jennings was a natural choice to become the show’s host.
In August, Jennings promoted “The Complete Kennections: 5,000 Questions in 1,000 Puzzles” at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park. This marks his first new trivia book release in over ten years.
Ken Jennings also took time to sign copies of his book during the event.
Ken Jennings blends his trivia expertise and regional ties with a new puzzle collection that engages and challenges fans across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
