Biography and Background

Jasmine Crockett is a Democratic congresswoman from Texas and a passionate civil rights advocate. She was born and raised in St. Louis. Her parents are Joseph Crockett, a teacher and preacher, and Gwen Crockett, a former postal worker. She credits her father’s leadership in the church as a major inspiration for her public service:
