Incident in Claremont: Two Charged After Shot Fired and Woman Assaulted
Police reported an incident in Hobart's northern suburbs on Saturday night, where a shot was fired at a house and a woman was allegedly assaulted.
According to police, up to four men arrived at the Claremont property at about 11:50pm, with one allegedly armed with a shortened firearm. A shot was fired at a window during the incident. In a separate altercation, a woman at the property was allegedly assaulted.
- Two men, aged 37 and 43, from southern Tasmania, have been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and several other offences.
- One man was arrested at Bellerive early on Sunday, while the second was taken into custody that afternoon.
- Police are still searching for two other men who were in a black Holden Commodore station wagon at the time.
