On Thursday, November 6, Queen Camilla led a solemn ceremony in London to honour fallen military personnel ahead of Remembrance Day. The Queen Consort took part in an emotional tribute dedicated to those who lost their lives in service to their country.
During the event at Westminster Abbey, Her Majesty planted a commemorative cross at the 97th Field of Remembrance, marking her respect for veterans and active service members. The ceremony reflected the enduring significance of remembrance and unity across generations.
“In memory of all those who lost their lives at war,” stated the Royal Family. “The Queen has planted a cross at the 97th Field of Remembrance, where she also spent time with veterans and serving military personnel.”
The Royal Family added that this year’s Field of Remembrance features over 300 plots of commemorative crosses outside Westminster Abbey. Since 1928, the area has served as a place for people to plant a cross in memory of a loved one.
For the occasion, Queen Camilla wore a formal navy coat accented by gold buttons and decorative shoulder details. She completed the look with black gloves and a red hat adorned with a feather and poppy pins, adding a vivid contrast to her elegant attire.
