Laying of the First Poppy and Remembrance Sunday Parade in Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough will honor those who fought in conflicts worldwide and gave their lives. Elected Mayor Chris Cooke will lay the First Poppy at the Cenotaph on Linthorpe Road at 10:45am on Thursday, November 6.

Pupils from local schools have been invited to place poppy crosses on the Field of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday Parade & Service

The parade and service will be held on Sunday, November 9, with attendance from the Mayor and other civic dignitaries. It will begin at 10:30am and march to The Cenotaph, where the service will conclude around 12:30pm.

For those unable to attend, the service will be live-streamed on the Council's Facebook page.

Armistice Day Service

On Tuesday, November 11, an Armistice Day service will be held at The Cenotaph from 10:45am, including a two-minute silence.

The services will be led by Reverend David Goodhew, Vicar of St Barnabas Church in Middlesbrough.
