Bam Adebayo scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help the Miami Heat edge the Los Angeles Clippers 120-119 on Monday night at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA.
Miami shot 54.2% from the field, including 12 of 25 from three-point range. The Clippers made 17 of 41 attempts behind the arc.
Turnovers were critical as the Clippers committed 21 giveaways, which the Heat converted into 37 points.
The Heat took a 120-116 lead after Adebayo made two free throws with 56 seconds remaining. A missed follow-up shot by Adebayo with 26 seconds left kept the game close.

Leonard’s 26-foot step-back 3-pointer at the buzzer missed, sealing the Heat’s one-point win.
Los Angeles erased a 13-point third-quarter deficit to tie the game at 105-105 with 9:55 left, sparked by a 3-pointer from veteran Chris Paul.
Miami regained control in the final minutes to secure the victory, causing the Clippers to suffer their first home loss in four games this season, dropping their record to 3-3.
