Join Us to Commemorate Remembrance Sunday
Derby residents are invited to take part in this year’s Remembrance Sunday ceremony on 9 November 2025, paying tribute to members of the armed forces and emergency services who have given their lives in service.
Annual Parade and Service
The city’s traditional parade and remembrance service will return this November, uniting local youth groups, veteran organisations, and the wider community.
Event Schedule
- 10:45 a.m. – Local veteran and youth groups will parade through the city centre to the Market Place, accompanied by the Salvation Army Band.
- 10:55 a.m. – A short service conducted by the Lord Bishop of Derby, assisted by the Very Rev'd Dr Peter Robinson, Dean of Derby, will begin, including a two-minute silence for reflection.
- After the service, civic dignitaries and organisation representatives will lay wreaths at the War Memorial.
Additional Details
The Order of Service can be downloaded, and the ceremony will be displayed live on a large screen in the Market Place.
“Troops from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers 148 Divisional Support Company will not be parading this year, but local youth and veteran groups have been invited to participate as before.”
