The Pokémon GO Fest 2026 launch includes a worldwide timed research called “Genetic Mastery”. The research focuses on Mega Mewtwo X. Polygon, Insider Gaming and Sportskeeda have published the steps, tasks and rewards in the quest. Completing the research unlocks exclusive items and an opportunity to catch Mega Mewtwo X in raid fights.
The weekend event runs Saturday through Sunday. On Sunday players are able to join 5‑star raids and mega‑level raids featuring the new Mega Mewtwo X. Mein‑MMO noted the raid schedule and rewards for the two days. The event also offers bonus XP and boosted capture chances across every creature during the two‑day period.
