Latest News About Air Canada aircraft veers onto grass at Trudeau, all safe

A plane from Air Canada slid off the taxiway at Montreal-Trudeau Airport on July 10. It touched down, before drifting onto the grass and came to rest beside the runway. Officials shut that strip down immediately. There were no injuries during the incident, even though it felt rough.

That block stopped takeoffs and landings for several hours. Cleanup crews moved equipment to the location. Others checked the runway for damage. By afternoon, aircraft were back in the air after the strip reopened.
