The 2025 Fall Mack Days Fishing Event on Flathead Lake, sponsored by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, concluded Sunday with a total of 19,144 lake trout entries, surpassing last year’s 18,414 catch.

Contest Highlights

Jens Gran of Polson dominated the Mack Days Bucket of Fish contests, winning all three with a combined weight of 93.65 pounds of lake trout.

Participation and Catch Breakdown

A total of 335 anglers participated, with 116 submitting one or more lake trout. From Monday to Thursday, 5,369 entries were recorded, while Friday to Sunday saw 13,775 entries. Both periods exceeded the comparable 2024 totals of 3,811 and 14,603, respectively.

Top Anglers and Rankings

Veteran angler Terry Krogstad of Kalispell earned the Top Angler title with 1,206 entries and a daily average of 57.83 over 18 days. The ranking is based on the best 18 days of entries.
