Voice Cast

Additional voice actors include Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips.

Creative Vision and Setting

“The idea was kind of to evoke a feeling of an ’80s cartoon,” said Matt Duffer.
“What we’ve been able to capture is the magic of Hawkins in a new way,” added Eric Robles.

Robles revealed that the story takes place between seasons two and three of the original live-action series, offering fans a new chapter that bridges key narrative moments.

Stranger Things Day Connection

The announcement was made on Stranger Things Day, commemorated each year by fans as the date when Will Byers disappeared in Hawkins, Indiana, on November 6, 1983.

Author’s Summary: Netflix’s upcoming animated series Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 revisits Hawkins with new mysteries, bringing together familiar producers, fresh voices, and a nostalgic 1980s cartoon style.
