Hundreds of Grand Valley residents gathered at Memorial Park in the Mesa County Fairgrounds on October 11 for the Charlie Kirk Legacy Rally, hosted by Turning Point CMU.
"I'm so proud of the community for showing up here,"
said Logan Jochim, Vice President for Turning Point CMU. The event honored Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), who died after being shot while speaking at a university in Utah on September 10.
According to Jess Clark-Scott, Secretary for Turning Point CMU, the event was not just about mourning, but about turning grief into action.
"We've had a lot of new membership that have been kind of inspired by Charlie Kirk's legacy,"said Clark-Scott. The chapter at CMU has experienced significant growth.
