An Auxiliary Constable with the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service has been suspended and charged with several traffic and fraud offences.
He was stopped by police for a traffic breach, and officers discovered he was driving without insurance or a valid certificate of roadworthiness and an expired registration.
The man was stopped in July by officers on mobile patrol, who noted irregularities with his documents and conducted enquiries that led to the discovery of the offences.
Further investigations with a local insurance company were conducted after he produced altered documents.
