Calgary Flames Earn a Point Against Senators
The Calgary Flames earned a point in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Ottawa Senators. The game was closely contested, with the Senators coming away with the extra point thanks to two shootout goals and a late equalizer.
Yegor Sharangovich, Matt Coronato, and Nazem Kadri scored for the Flames, with all of their goals being go-ahead markers. Devin Cooley made 35 saves in his second start of the season.
Sharangovich got things started with a signature snapshot 5:51 into the first period.
Joel Farabee set up Sharangovich's goal with a pass across the Senators' zone, and the Belarusian forward scored with a shot into the top corner past Ottawa netminder Linus Ullmark.
