Record Passenger Traffic at Georgian Airports
Passenger traffic at Georgian airports has reached a record 6.5 million in 2025, according to the Civil Aviation Agency.
The data shows a strong post-pandemic growth trajectory, with a 14% increase in passenger numbers compared to the same period last year.
- Tbilisi International Airport handled almost 4.1 million passengers, up 12% year-on-year.
- Kutaisi International Airport served about 1.4 million passengers, a 10% increase.
- Batumi International Airport posted the highest growth rate, 32%, serving 995,099 travelers between January and September.
Air freight volumes also rose sharply, with around 26,000 tons of cargo transported, a 50% increase over 2024 figures.
