Tennis Takes First Loss in Sweet 16

Davie tennis players Corbin Drum and Kate Chaffin both reached the 7A Midwest Regional semifinals, one step from advancing to the state tournament, held at Guilford College.
“Corbin played the one seed really, really hard (6-3, 6-4),” coach Collin Ferebee said. “It was a competitive match all the way through.”
Chaffin also went 2-1 on the day, with coach Ferebee noting,
“Kate rolled (in the first round),”
