King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre announced the opening of Saudi Arabia's first facility for manufacturing genetic and cellular therapies by late 2025.
This project aims to provide thousands of patients with access to advanced treatments, reducing the cost of care by an estimated 8 billion riyals (approximately 2 billion dollars) by 2030, and meeting around 9% of the nation's demand for such therapies.
