TVK's Bussy Anand Withdraws Anticipatory Bail Plea
Anand's counsel informed the court of the intention to withdraw the plea due to the investigation being transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) following the Supreme Court's orders.
The court, comprising Chief Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava and Justice G Arul Murugan, allowed the request and dismissed the plea as withdrawn.
Previously, on October 3, a vacation court had dismissed Anand's anticipatory bail plea, citing his role in the alleged offences and the preliminary stage of the investigation.
